Cosmetology Program

This course is an introduction to cosmetology.  Students develop practical skills necessary for entry-level salon work and earn hours toward certification at a post-secondary cosmetology school. 

Topics include:  process of communication; sanitation; Minnesota laws and rules; skin care; manicuring; chemistry of hair; haircutting; hairstyling; chemical control; hair coloring and retailing.

Students also learn proper techniques for using shears, texturing tools, razor, electric clippers, and other tools.
