The Carver-Scott Educational Cooperative has an exciting full time position available to teach in a program promoting careers in the computer repair and networking industries.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Certifications in A+/Cisco

·         Recent computer repair and networking experience

·         Four-year college degree in related field

·         Experience working with high school aged youth

·         Curriculum development experience

School Social Worker

Full-time position (January - June, 2012) working with high school students in the Jordan School District #717.

Qualifications:  Licensed School Social Worker

Summary of Duties:

×          Individual and support group meetings with students regarding chemical use, chemical violations, school attendance issues, social skills, family issues, friendships, peer relations, impulse control, anger management, behavior in school, grief and loss, low self-esteem, and emotional concerns.

×          Parent meetings regarding student issues.

×          Parent phone calls, follow-up and potential referrals.

×          Assist students in increasing academic success through academic, organizational, study and test-taking skills support.

×          Crisis prevention and intervention.

×          Conflict resolution (with peer relationships or with staff members).

×          Assist students in identifying coping strategies.
